The base of the candlestick is steady, holding up the slender candle needle, while the spiral pattern in the middle adds a bit of dynamics to the overall posture - as if the still metal is still slowly rotating, but no one can see it. When the candle is lit, the flame moves and jumps between the gullies of the twisted pattern, the iron color reflects the warm light, and a hint of warmth is revealed in the coldness. It is both an artifact and a solidified melody, standing silently on the desk, waiting for the firelight to give it the illusion of flow again.
